redding compition seater stem

Re: redding compition seater stem

skog,

No, you have to buy a new seater. What Redding told me when I was trying to set up a 6.5-06 from a 25-06 is that you would have to ream the die to accept a new seater.

You can have your gunsmith ream the sleeve with the chambering reamer, sure. Not sure, but you may be able to purchase a .308 sleeve right from Redding also...

" can I buy a 308 stem to go with it rather then have to buy a whole new die?"

Sure you can, it won't fit in the .260 sleeve but you would have the punch!
