Well, I called Redding this morning to see if they would hone out the neck on a full length sizer that I have and apparently after 1 January 2011 they no longer offer this service.

I asked them if I could have a machinist do the work and they said that it would void the warranty....

I'm not too picky on the warranty stuff, except I can't seem to find anyone locally that would do the work for me. Anyone know a smith that would be willing to hone out the neck on a redding die for me??

I called forster too, they said they wouldn't work on another company's dies..

"redding no longer offers neck honing for dies "

Guess the profit margin on their various bushing dies is much higher.

I bought a type s full length die. We'll see how that goes. I'll probably buy a forster full length die to and see which one I like better...

This is all kind of silly on redding's part, just my opinion. I use their dies almost exclusively and this is just weird.

Well, just an update, I called up forster and got a custom honed neck on a FL sizer. Results are very good, case neck and case body runout on sized brass is .0005-.001". Still a little dissappointed that Redding discontinued their service but, I have the tools that I need and I'm happy.
