I’m having trouble out of my Redding premium dies. Looking for some opions. The first picture is the problem and the second is a base to go off of

Can you give a little more info? Just get the dies, or have you been using them for a while? What started the problem? New bullet type? If the dies are new, did you follow set up direction of seating die closely?

Did you just anneal that case? If so, too much heat? What are you using to expand the neck?

Oh shit. I was looking at the bullet. It’s not a weatherby cartridge is it?

Try moving the die body up out out the press to see if it’s not that which is crushing itself.

let’s reset your dies to make sure they are correct.

Do you have a set of comparators and a pair of calipers? These are essential For setting the sizing die.

For the seating die, start by taking it completely off. Put an empty case in the shell holder and run it to the top of the stroke. Screw the bullet seater to the bottom. Now start threading the die into the press. Thread until you feel it hit the case. Now back the die off a full turn. Tighten your lock ring. Back bullet seating adjust all the way out. Put bullet on top of case and adjust billet sweater down until you are at the depth you want.

For full length sizing die, take it off, run press to top of the stroke. Screw sizing die down until it’s an 1/8” or so from touching the shell holder. Get a once fired case, measure base to shoulder with comparator. Now size the case. Remeasure. Screw down die incrementally until you get .002 of shoulder bump and set the lock ring.

Thanks for your help. I got it fixed
