I sized my first pieces of brass today using a Forster coax press and Redding S FL die with the expander ballremoved. 0.335 nitride bushing (# down). Once fired Lapua large primer brass, with Shooting Shed comparator - screwed the die onto the ram (fullcycle)... and it “over bumped” at 0.0035. I unscrewed the die, and got to 0.003.... but is this the correct approach? (Unscrew and relighted the,occ ring). No shellholder adjustments for a Coax... but I was thinking i’ll Be getting slightly less neck sizing as I pull the die “up”... suggestions on correct approach? Thanks!

Yes, that’s correct. Now back the die off a little more.

The stem retaining the neck bushing should be backed off so the bushing floats very slightly. Dont worry about not sizing the neck enough, it’s not an issue.

The relationship between the neck and the shoulder in the die stays the same, the only difference is how far down you force it on the case body until you get to the point out in space where you not longer touch the shoulder. Raising the die up to the proper location just means that you are no longer overworking the brass, not that you are somehow not doing the work.
