Reefer outsell chocolate

Is a weed edible the same price as a Hershy's bar? Kind of seems like a no brainer, it would make more money than "chocolate." When they use the term "made more money" talking about total dollars in sales, not profits.

Even though i live in a state were its legal there is no way its replacing my taste for 85-90% quality dark chocolate.
Aint gonna happen.
So there is someone other than me that loves the alkaline flavor of way too pure chocolate. I won't touch the stuff if it's not >85% but I really like the 95-99%. That's where the flavors that come out of it are intense and amazing and you'll never in your life experience them from even bittersweet much less semisweet or sweet. Kinda like Scotch, blended sucks ass and mixing it with anything ruins it.

Yeah theres something unigue about it i dont drink coffee but would somewhat comare it to an expresso.
When i worked in southern mexico i would bring some home evertime, the jungles in the area i worked was were the cocoa plantations were.
Its amazing it can taste so good if you have ever smelled it after the pods are broken open and the seeds harvested prior to processing.

As long as they aren’t hurting anyone else, who cares?
I suppose that's the question then, are they? My weed smoking co-workers, ("workers") would always argue that the worst thing weed does is makes you "mellow" and not want to do anything. I'd say "Yeah, I noticed." "Just what the country needs, more people that don't want to do anything."

Pity those who think Hershey's is good chocolate.

I bet for every lazy ass pot smoker you can find I can find one who isn’t lazy and another who is lazy that doesn’t smoke pot. Here I am just not wanting the government to control one more aspect of our lives. When I say I prefer a small government, that doesn’t mean I want to just pick and choose what anecdotal issues they control. I don’t care about pot, but you’re high if you think those people would be hard workers without it.

Then we don't need even more. You're arguing FOR my point.

These guys were fun to talk to. They loved to use themselves as an example "look at me, it hasn't effected me." I'd be thinking "You live like you're 15 years old, but you're 56 and your life is a shambles. Living in an illegal apartment in someone's garage, Shitty job you're BARELY holding on to. Haven't got a dime to your name. Personal life a mess, failed marriage, can't stay in a relationship. Yes, you're a shining example, the poster boy for legalization." They didn't see it though.

Kind of like stupid people don't know they're stupid.

Were all their problems due to weed? No. (certainly wasn't helping) But they didn't see it. It's human nature / physiology. Feeling good when things aren't good, isn't good.

it’s an excuse. They are lazy to begin with, it didn’t make them lazy is MY point. It’s funny how people are always against government control until it’s over something that they don’t see any value in. Would your coworkers be better off as the office drunks? I’m guessing you’re fine with alcohol being legal, or would you like the government to arrest people for that as well?

I bit into some baking chocolate once when I was little. Not the experience I was expecting or plan to repeat. Lol

Legalization of pot was just greasing the slippery slope.

Same as recognizing gay marriage.

I don’t give a shit what you do to self medicate.

Problem is none of it is backed by personal responsibility.

It’s all just an invite to some govt care program that will make you beholden.

I say legalize it all but no safety net.

Govt won’t agree to that because the goal is to net you.

Pots gross can’t go to the beach or any place public now without smelling it.

Not rare driving down the highway you smell it and you know someone is lighting up for the commute.

In a past life I gave up giving a shit and I care even less now.

Cops can’t even use smell of fresh burnt MJ but oh tighten your ass if it’s the odor of an alcoholic beverage.

Say “Freedom” all you want but in this case it’s just part of the twenty year plan we are on and guess what we are on about year 15 and it is succeeding wildly beyond their expectations.

Smoke em while you can because it won’t last slave.

I live in CO.

Work in a job where I see a lotta pit smokers.
Ever heard of cannabis induced hyperemesis? It is very real.
Counts for several ER and Urgent care visits a day, at all the spots.

I also live close to Red Rocks.
Hilarious the folks who eat so many gummies or smoke so much high percentage THC bud they cant even enjoy the $150-300 dollar ticket they bought.
And yes. Lots of them go to the ER too.

I could give a crap about the occasional, or even every evening having a couple big rips while I have a nice pour of whisky or 2, sometimes 3 beers.

BUT. Those folks are only part if it.
The others smoke all day.
Bong hits and smokin a bowl at the stop light.
Barely work if at all.

Have witnessed smart and hard working folks go from being quite successful and owning a nice home to sharing a crap 2 bedroom condo and working just enough to pay the bills.
No other drugs. No booze.
Just potheads.
This isnt one or two.
I gotta take a shoe off to count that high.

Curious to hear other CO people chime in.
I live in a nice suburb of Denver.
See plenty of methheads and junkies too, but nothin like potheads.

Anything can become addictive.
If you are fine with drinking, but think weed should stay illegal you are a hypocrite. Using worst case scenarios can make anything look like the devil. Let’s spare the drama.
If it’s all about .gov control I wonder why the feds still resist making it legal federally? For your safety, of course!

I'm a fan of 95% chocolate, but prefer stuff processed in the European way rather than the americanized stuff.

I visited Denver and Ward CO in 2019 before the pandemic struck. Wife wanted to visit a friend and we snuck up to see a cousin of mine. Denver had tons of bums, a ton of dispensaries that outnumbered gas stations and grocery stores from what I saw, and weed smells everywhere. We took the kids to the zoo, and it was really strong there. Tried to shoot at a range there but they wouldn't let me because I was alone and wanted to rent a gun they had, if I had a partner with me it was all good. I could go get as much THC as I wanted though. Up in the mountains it wasn't bad, my cousin doesn't partake and said his area wasn't overwhelmed by it. Locals my wife met at a park said Denver went downhill once it was legalized and she said Colorado Springs was much nicer, probably won't ever know.

My professional experience with it as a probation officer: The people that smoke it are morons and I don't know if they are really stupid because of smoking or if it makes their natural stupidity worse. I can get alcoholics to comply, but those who use THC can't understand anything. We also have a pre-trial program that dismisses cases and prevents a conviction...if they would just stop smoking. Everyone is on ADHD meds today which is ineffective because of their THC use. They can't hold jobs, they can't comprehend anything, They can't pay and end up getting revoked and in jail. The worst part about it in my area, the judges and prosecutors don't care to punish them with jail time so when they are finally given jail days, they have literally had every chance in the world to stop smoking but they won't.

Have to disagree on this one... British, Canadian, German, Swiss... all better. Hershey's is the Big Mac of Chocolate. Predictable and ok. But nowhere near world class!

Sirhr

I primarily eat Lindt Swiss chocolate of the 85-95% percent.
There is also an organic grocery near me that i get dark chocolate with cayenne peppers that is very good just cant remmember the brand.

That is the problem.

I dodnt know many here in Oklahoma, but in Virginia I know many highly successful folks who use it. Not to mention the earlier posted Elon. They do their work and have a toke in the evenings. Just like alcohol, if you do it all the time it will fuck you up, guaranteed. I think a lot of it is culture and parenting. If youre groomed for success, yo'll likely succeed. If youre taught youre no good and a failure....

I cant disagree with you but I have some trouble believing there wasnt something else involved. Emotional perhaps. People dont just destroy their lives for no reason. Some eat themselves to death.

Colorado, especially the Boulder/Denver area has been a Mecca for young disenfranchised people I remember the hippies from the early 70's in Boulder. The girls were easy prey. Add to that legal cannabis, and lenient laws, and viola, a problem.

Here I thought I was the only one that liked chocolate with some heat. Everyone thinks I am nuts when I talk about it.
Nope, i like spicy pretty much everything.
My moms spaghetti growing up would make you sweat from all the red pepper.
Occasionally i need to change hot sauce because it starts to taste mild and my wife tries to regulate how many Seranos i put in the pico de gallo when i make it.

Try Melinda's hot sauces. The one most stores carry, if any, XXX, which is nothing special. My favorite is the Red Savina. They also sell a decent Habanero, Scorpion and Ghost sauce. Theyre not just hot, but they have great flavor. Skip the Jalapeno, disappointing.

I'm with you on the Serrano's, excellent flavor.

Smell of fresh marijuana has been ruled no reason for suspicion.

You need to articulate other facts.

MJ citations go to town where written. RMV and state never see them.

The towns don’t know what to do with them and throw them out.

There is a reason other than “freedom” why it was legalized.

I know in my state a former state AG got a sales license……could it be the Benjamin’s?

I don’t care if it is legalized….just live with the responsibility of your decisions.

Fair statements, i should have worded that better as in.
Signs of impairment coupled with the smell of it are probable cause for arrest.
Just a quick search i found this, but also in the article it is mentioned ( which reinforces some of what you stated ) that it is an uphill battle for prosecution.

Have you seen Herseys lately.

It’s not the ambassador GI Joe brought to war torn hell holes anymore.

Sad actually.

I do really like Hershey's chocolate bars, Hershey's syrup, and Hershey Chocolate powder, I buy and keep them stockpiled .
but, also right now in the kitchen cupboard I got some, Lindt classic dark milk chocolate , Maui Hana Crown 51% Chocolate, some Costa Rica 72% dark 'whiskey flavor' Chocolate , and Cadbury's dairy milk chocolate .
I Really like chocolates, but there is a flip-side to it.

High amounts anything ( above 70% ) of Cocoa chocolate, is one of my Kryptonites, and almost like a toxicity with the even Higher 80's and 90's % Cocoa recipes . My two Kryptonite's are .. High-altitude Hypoxia and Cocoa .
Especially if eat in the evening, I am ultra sensitive. Anything more than a couple bites, and next morning it's like my head is on a Hangover and felling like crap. High content Cocoa breaks the blood/brain barrier on me like a post Alcohol binge, I never tried pure Cocoa, but I bet it will royally kick my Ass .

I think we need to bring back 1920s prohibition and add alcohol to the war on drugs. Way to many drunk driving deaths on the highway. Dysfunctional alcoholics destroying their livers, beating their wives, and drinking until they can no longer control their bladder. I mean what is wrong with someone who thinks they need a drink every week or every day. Those people are addicted. People shouldn't be free to make those kinds of choices for themselves.:rolleyes::ROFLMAO:

It was all legal from like the beginning of time, up until a few hundred years ago. So, I don't thinks its reasonable to pretend its causal in the rise and fall of civilizations. Although, meth did likely bring down Nazi Germany. I think the use of drugs is just common rather than causal. Whether it be drugs, booze, or something big pharma cooked up.
