Just checking to see IF anyone here re-finishes GLOCK slides and the CCF frames.

I am wanting a finish LIKE the Glock OEM finish.

Any help will ge greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt (LEO SOUTH GA.)

Have you asked Glock about sending the slide back to them (I understand the CCF frame)? They refinish weapons many times when the owner sends them in for overhaul.

That's why I said the slide. I meant that they would not do the frame. Also, unless you have the stainless frame, you will not be able to do anything that cooks at the temp of Tenifer/Melonite. I would send it off to get Ionbond.

Contact Ryan Flynn. He worked as the house gunsmith for Ionbond before striking out on his own. The stuff is a "Diamond Like Coating" or DLC. It is only applied around 400 degrees. Good stuff.

Re: Refinishing - Slide - Frame - GLOCK oem

Just a QUESTION here...

Is is possible to RHINO line a Stainless CCF frame....

Would be a neat concept IF it would hold to it... No need in worrying about it scratching etc...

I am wanting it for use on a range gun that will get ALOT of use...

Just wondering IF anyone has tried RHINO type lining on a gun piece..

Thanks,
Matt

Re: Refinishing - Slide - Frame - GLOCK oem

There was a local truck customizing shop here that was Rhino Lining stocks. They were doing stocks for free with the purchase of a bedliner. They looked pretty damn good. They even did an 870, stock, barrel, receiver, everything. It was fugly but it would've made one hell for tough duck gun.
