I'm sure that it's been touched on here before but wanted to give the heads up to folks with cheap rangefinders like myself.

I noticed that my Bushnell 1500 rangefinder would range reflective street signs all the way out to almost 1600 yards but struggled with 500 yards on my steel plates.

So when I was at Home Depot yesterday buying white spray paint I noticed some clear REFLECTIVE paint and for $6 I thought I would try it.IT WORKED GREAT!I know how long my street is now....1157 yards.

Mine went back to bushnell for repair. Ranging just dropped off to a max hit of less than 200 yards. New batteries and still couldn't get to the end of the next block. We'll see what they do. Used to get cood hit along the highway to about 1200 if I hit a reflector post.

Man that sounds like a great idea on the paint. The only problem I will have is painting that stuff on my big buck this fall.
