Hi. I currently own a TRG-42 in 338LM and TRG-22 in 308. I am considering to sell both of these to get a more reliable 338LM rifle.

I compete and train and use the rifle in rough field conditions. I have broken and replace:n several parts especially from the TRG-42.(barrel twice, bolt relese, bipod attachment plate, buttstock spacers x3, buttplate x3 , trigger group, bipod connection slots have been widened due tilting bipod, locking lungs show wear, the aluminum chassis shows wear under bipod attachment plate etc). This all has happened in 5000rds.

Therefore I am looking for a more reliable rifle. The accuracy level of TRG is fully enough for me(0.7-1moa).

I am considering the following rifles. Do you have any opinion which of these is the most reliable? Are there any major concerns?

AW accuracy international
AX accuracy international
Barret Mrad
PGW Timberwolf
RPA Rangemaster

Re: Reliable 338LM

The AW has legendary reliability. The AX should in theory be just as reliable since it's the same gun at its heart. The .338 AX has the added advantage of taking the longer CEP length mags.

I can't give an up or down vote on the others because I've never handled or shot any of them. The Timberwolf has received nothing but high praise from everyone with experience behind it but I don't know how abuse-proof it is relative to the AW.
