Guys, I have a several SBRs (10.5"-12.5" barrel) SCAR/AR15s in 5.56mm and a SCAR H .308 SBR with a 13" barrel. I am just getting into reloading and have not a clue as to what powder will work best for these guys.

The .223s all shoot heavy factory loads best as they have 1:7 twist, 69-77 grain, so I would like to start loading with those.

The .308 has a 1:12 twist and shoots the 155gr AMAX from Hornady TAP ammo, along with 168-175 grain ammo very well. I will probably stick with the 155 AMAX, as obviously this is not a LR rifle.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

I have settled on Varget for both .224 and .308 but RL15 is also a good choice. Due to the shorter barrel, you might have good luck with something slightly faster, but I would not go slower.
