Hello I just ordered a AI AT in 6.5cm and I’m looking for some insight as to how people are reloading their 6.5 in this particular rifle. So far I have H4350 and 140gr Sierra match kings I’m planning to use

The 140 SMK's are good bullets (I use SMK's almost exclusively in my .308 precision rifle), but if you can get hold of 140 ELD's, I feel they'll work better for you as many, many people I know have found it to be so with their 6.5CM's. And their load tends to be around 41.5 gr of H4350. So. . . just a thought for you to consider.

This is going to be seriously easy button. No need to look for a special combination. His OAL isn’t gonna match yours if he isn’t shooting your bullet and your chamber. If you don’t have the tools to measure your max overall length in your chamber, just load it to book length. 40 to 42gr of h4350(start at 40), any case, any primer. Bet it shoots half moa with any combo in there.

Wow so 6.5 sounds easy to load ! and forgiving. I mainly load 308 which has been kinda PITA I’ve had to do a lot of experimenting to get dialed in.

I don’t know what barrel is on your 308, but you’ll have a premium barrel on the AI. Good barrels are generally not picky, And the creedmoor is not a picky cartridge to load for.

I have an AXMC with a SS Proof Res barrel and use 39.7g of H4350, Remington 9-1/2 primer, Federal 1x fired case and 130 Berger Hybrid jumping it .075”. It’s very consistent to a 1000 yards. Didn’t require much work up at all.
