So, Quickload tells me that I am going to get my best velocity at the lowest pressure with RL-33. Sierra tells me the same thing. Hornady doesn't even list it as a powder option. It looks like it could be just a little slow for the round, but maybe not. Does anybody have experience with RL 33 in 6.5 PRC? Any thoughts? It looks like it would be hard to get over pressure with it, which is nice.

Not RL33, but I ran N570 in mine, it produced the best velocities, no pressure.
Cool. Can't get any closer in burn speed than that. Thanks.

I have not seen it yet, might be a while. It should provide a better case fill being N570 short cut. I am waiting too, but will run the 570 until the 568 is out.

I can get over 60 grains in a case. 58 to 60 gets me 3k ish+ with 153.3 Bergers It seems to really like 2960 to 3010 depending on barrel / brass

Surprised enough rl33 (or n570) will fit in the case to be useful.
That was my worry as well. Suppose it is safer to try to find out than messing around with something on the too fast side.

I loaded 60grs of Re#33 In Hornady brass behind 147gr ELD bullets in my 26" Bergara Premier . Under 1/2 MOA avg Velocity of 3,060 fps . This was a winter load . Called Berger Tech up and they say Re#33 isn't temp stable .

I like and use a lot of re23 for my prc. I’ve heard ppl using re33 with success but I think they have 28”+barrels. In a short action I get 2900+ with 156eol, now it didn’t show pressure but I get the clickers for the base of the cartridge not sizing enough. Got like 6-7 reloads on brass, annealed every firing, need to get the chamber fixed.
I also get 3000+ with 147eldms but I blow the bullets up after the barrel is warm.

I’ve been doing load development with a custom Alamo Precision lightweight hunter. Yesterday I got an SD of 2.8 at 2847 f/s with 61.5 g. ADG brass. 24” barrel with 144 Berger Long Range Hybrids.

Anyone played with the N568 yet? I just got some but working like a madman so I haven’t had time to try it.

It's also not out yet. I've been told to expect it closer to September.

Edit: looking at the published load data, it seems to be a tad bit faster than N570 and slower than N565.

I prefer RL26 but 23 works fine.
I got 2885 out of my 24” CA MPR with 52.5 of RL23 and 156’s. SD 9 with 5 shots.
Mild ejector sign on brass. Also had 147’s come apart and got away from them. I get 10 reloads with Hornady brass full length sizing and don’t anneal.
