Rem 700 223 price help!!!

Im looking at trading for a Remington 700 Action in 223 its in a HS Precision stock, badger ord bipod rail, and has a 28" Christensen Arms Barrel he is asking $900 trade value. Gun is in good shape with less than 500 rounds down the barrel any input will be greatly appreciated

How’s it shoot? That’s more than I would pay except it has the carbon barrel for a 300 uocharge so that actually isn’t outrageous.

That said, unless you want a carbon fiber barrel you could get a rpr or howa hcr for not that much more than that.

Ok acording to him it shoots 1/4" groups at 100 all day long with factory ammo. And i domt think the barrel is the newer carbon fiber barrel its a older build pre carbon fiber barrel from what he says.

Ok i picked it up today pretty good deal i do believe. It is in a HS Precision stock with badger ordinance top rail and anshultz bottom rail new mag insert, new spring and follower the barrel he says and i quote is a "christiansen arms barrel 28" steel barrel trued action". I havent shot it yet and honestly dont know if i will or if ill list it. But does anyone know how to find out the maker of the barrel? No marks on it anywhere just the crown and length profile to go by???

Nope, all you have is his word. I hope it shoots, cycles, and all that jazz, cause this could be painful.

It does shoot it does cylce no feeding issues. Now whem i say shoot i ran 5 rounds through it and the all went bang but withou a scop i was shooting into a dirt bank at 10 yards but all 5 went off without a hitch. Ill be mount8ng an optic on it tonight after work and taking it out tomorrow to 100 yards. See what happens of course i know my handloads in 55gr Vmax probably arent going to shoot very well i am assuming its a slower twist barrel that likes some heavies. We shall see.

Just to clarify, slower twists like lighter bullets, not heavier.
