This is an exceptionally accurate 308. I bought this gun as a barreled action with the intention of taking it apart and using the action for another build. The guy I bought it from said he had put less than 100 rounds through the gun and that it showed great promise so he took it in to a gunsmith and had it "trued". When they screwed it back together the barrel markings ended up facing down.

I don't know who the smith was that trued this up or what that process entailed, but it worked very well. Before taking it to my smith to have it disassembled I decided to drop it in a stock and test it. I put 10 rounds together with 155TMK's, LC Brass, CCI primers and BLC2. It put all ten rounds into one hole smaller than a dime @ 100yds. I decided to keep it and get another action for the build I was having done.

I ended up putting the action in a BDL Hogue stock with an extended internal box. I added an EGW 20 MOA rail. The trigger is a stock Remington, but it feels so good and breaks so clean I left it in there. I had a brake installed and put another 35 rounds through it getting it tuned up and confirming drops out to 600yds for my wife to hunt with. The hope was that she would stop stealing my 7mm-08. Apparently this hurt her feelings so she still uses my 7mm-08 and this gun has sat in the safe for the last two years unused.

Not having the caliber clearly displayed bothered me so I took it and had it engraved on the barrel.

For how well this rifle shoots it really does deserve some attention and an owner that will take it out once in a while. I even stole the optic off of It and put it on my 224 Valkyrie.
