I have a remi 700 sps varmint and I'm trying to get one of the clamp on muzzle brakes for it but, I can't get one if the barrel is tappered. This are my measurement starding from the muzzle end:
0" = 0.822"
1/4" = 0.826"
1/2" = 0.828"
3/4" = 0.830"
1" = 0.832"
1-1/4" = 0.834"
1-1/2" = 0.835"
1-3/4" = 0.836"
2" = 0.836"
I thought that the heavy barrel rifles weren't tappered, maybe I was wrong. I now that a couple of guys in the forums got roedale muzzle breaks, did they have the same disclaimer for their breaks? The guy in ebay says he can't machine brakes for tappered barrel but I now that people use this tapy of clamp design on LTR and P models. I though the varmint and P model had the same type of barrel. By the way is a 308 if anyone wanted to know
