Rem 700 XCR

Re: Rem 700 XCR

The XCR in 300 Win Mag still have the 40X trigger.

If your just starting out with the bolt rifle thing,300 win might be a bit much

If you do get it and you reload (you do reload right?) try working up to 76.6g of H-1000 with a 208 A-Max

Re: Rem 700 XCR

I've got an XCR in .300 mag. It is a good shooting gun. I use mine for hunting mostly, so my go to load is a 180 Sierra GK, Nosler Brass or WW (same POI), CCI BR2 primers, 74 grains of H 1000. It shoots and kills well. For factory ammo, it actually loves the 150 grain Rem Core Lokts.

Compared to a Sendero, the only real difference I can see is the stock. Honestly, I like the HS stock on the Sendero a little better than the B&C that comes with the XCR, it seems a little "stiffer". But I like the trynite finish on the XCR better. They both have the 40x trigger, which is very nice and easy to adjust. I did hydro dip the B&C stock and it came out well.

All in all, I have been very pleased with mine. You can't go wrong either way.

(btw, I know the bi-pod is on backwards, but it fits in my safe better that way)

Re: Rem 700 XCR

watch the barrel if you run some 240gr SMKs through it. my XCR in 300 RUM unscrewed its barrel when i put some of them through it its in at the gunsmiths now to get fixed
