what is the difference between a regular rem 700 and the j-lock rem 700...finding stocks that say they dont work with the j-lock system

Just replace it, problem solved and are they ugly.

just replace the bolt ??? the action i have has that bolt...but i want a vertical grip hs precision stock..it says it wont work with the j-lock system

J-lock is really only the shroud, Brownells sells a kit to replace it.

Midway sells bolt shrouds. I have a PTG shroud and firing pin kit on my 700.
