I need some information on this rifle! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I noticed on the Remington Law Enforcement web site the Rem 700p is also chambered in 7mm Rem Mag. I am having trouble locating this caliber in the 700p. Is this a discontinued model? Does anyone have experience with this caliber in the 700p? If they discontinued this model, how likely is it to find a used one?

The rumor is that they were built for the FBI/Secret Service contract. Again, its an internet rumor. It may have merit since I believe both agencies used or are using the 7mm cartridge. Per Remington, they were only manufactured for 2 years. The model was discontinued in 2006. Very rare, but I've had 2 in the past year. One was brand new and never fired. It was sold in the same condition, sadly. The only difference between the 700p and sendero barrel is a slightly faster twist, 9.25 vs 9.125.

I shoot a Sendero in 7mm Mag. I've had it 10-12years & it's still hammering away @ the steel. It has to have around 3500 rounds through it by now. Round count since September or October is 984. Its still shoots sub 1/2moa to 1290yds. I can't see how though.

Factory rifle except for a brake & trigger
