Anybody with firsthand experience with the short lived Remington model 78 sportsman? The interweb leads me to believe it is pretty much identical to a 700 with only cosmetic differences. I have been offered one as the foundation for a .223 build and I just want to confirm before committing. Just want to make sure 700 stocks, bottom metals, triggers, scope bases, recoil lugs, firing pins, etc etc will all interchange. Thanks in advance.
