Rem Modular Sniper Rifle Experiences?

I recently noticed Remington's MSR (Modular Sniper Rifle) on their website and don't see anything here yet. Does anyone have one or have experience shooting one?

I haven't shot one, but I did get to mess around with one.

It felt like a quality piece, but was definitely pretty heavy.

I liked alot of the features on the stock, but it seemed a bit expensive for what it was compared to something like Mcrees that does all the same jobs for significantly less.

Built like a tank. Definitely targeting the military/police market with that pricepoint unless something changes.

there is a gentleman selling one of these here, I believe he won it in a precision shooting competition. I believe the model was the Remington XM 2010? IIRC, he stated the rifles were not even available yet to civilians but he had to get rid of it for some reason or another. I tried to find the post, maybe he sold it. It was a beautiful rifle!

I saw it at the 2011 Shot Show and it was not available to the civillian market.

Ah yes I forgot Remington is looking at producing the chassis for after market sales for the Remington 700. They are just trying to figure out what the price point will be and what the shooting public will swallow. When I asked what the price was, the quote they gave me made me swallow hard!
