Rem700 SA pic base

Wanting to add a pic scope base to one of my rem700 SA’s.

I have a seekins on my savage rifle that I like. I also see options for EGW, Nightforce and some other brands.

Some have a recoil lug lip built into the base, others don’t.

I don’t really want to bed the base to the action.

Recommendations?

I have a seekins, a badger, and a talley on my 3 different rifles. For what its worth the Seekins and Badger fit the rifle base perfectly with no flex when I tested by tightening down just the rear screws and seeing if I could easily slide a piece of paper under it. Then I did the same thing with the front screws. The talley there was a bit of flex and I told myself that I would eventually bed it but still havent gotten around to it. If you buy on the the more expensive ones such as seekins, nightforce, or badger; you probably wont have to bed them as they will be held to might tighter tolerances vs. EGW or Talley. However they are also going to be around double to triple the price so depending on your budget and what you want to utilize the rifle for it may not be worth it for you.
