It looks like you have a shooter there. The rifle has just proved what it can do Now try for five or ten shot groups.

Here's my 700 SPS .308 in it's 3rd stock. I've posted pics in another thread, but they were off of my phone. These are actual camera pics, so they're a little better. The 3 groups were shot today at 100yds with Berger 155VLDs. I just bought a box of 175 SMKs to try. I'll load them soon and see what happens.

ewoaf, how is the finish holding up on your SPS? Mine and one belonging to a friend will rust if you look at them funny. Before anybody has comments, yes I know how to take care of a rifle.

Merc,
Contact Mike R from TacOps, he might have some take off PSS stocks laying around he can make you a deal on. also check the classified here and on snipercentral, and i even saw one on ebay go for about $150 the other day, so they can be had an deals abound. i love mine. a lot of guys change em out but i genuinely like the look feel and fit of the PSS stock, its one of the reasons i went with a PSS.

Re: Rem700 SPS,LTR,PSS Precsion Rifle: Lets See Em'!
Hello all,
I am new to the forum. I am currently working on a Rem 700 build. I have a quick question.
What is the textured coating that I see on so many of the stocks in these pictures? It is very similar to the coating that I see on the Tac Ops rifles. What is it, Who makes it, where is it, how can I get it, and how is it applied?
