Hi all,
I have a GG&G bipod that I like a lot, and want to mount it to my XCR... problem being that my bipod requires a picatinny rail. I see several "half" rails and "short" rails for sale including a couple of promising ones shown below.
I am currently in Afghanistan and therefore can't measure the distance between the dual front swivel studs, so I'm hoping someone on the forum can provide the measurement.
I would like to know if anyone has mounted a short bottom rail for a bipod on an XCR with B&C stock, or for any other purpose and what you decided on. I would prefer to use the existing swivel stud locations to secure the rail (along with maybe some thin double stick tape) if possible rather than drilling the stock (drilling the rail for fitment is definitely an option).
<span style="font-weight: bold"> </span> ACCU-SHOT:
"BT15 3.35" 1913 Rail will accommodate hole patterns with a center to center spacing of 1.30 to 2.25" with a relieved base to accommodate curved surfaces. A standard sling stud can be used as one fastener or two Button head machine screws can be used "
<span style="font-weight: bold"> </span> <span style="font-weight: bold"> </span> BADGER:
"Can be adapted to almost any use where a short section of M1913 rail is required. Aluminum alloy, Hard coat anodized black, 2.775 long w/ 6 slots. P/N 249-15."
Any help is appreciated. Putting a Harris on there is always an option since it's perfect for the dual front stud setup, but if it's not too much trouble I'd like to use my GG&G.
Thanks!
