Shooters,
Please join us for our three remaining 2012 matches at AEDC in Tullahoma, TN. All of these are NRA-Approved matches, cost $20, and start at 7:30 am CDT:
- Saturday 10/6 Mid-Range (3x20x600) run by Blue & Gray Rifle Club
- Sunday 10/7 Long-Range (3x20x1000) run by Warren County Rifle Club
- Sunday 11/11 Long-Range (3x20x1000) run by Warren County RIfle Club
Some key points to consider:
1. Registration for all matches will <span style="font-weight: bold">begin at 7:30AM CDT and close at 8:00AM</span> CDT. Shooters who arrive after 8:00AM CDT may or may not be squadded, at the discretion of the match officials. Shooters are strongly encouraged to arrive at the start of registration for the day.
2. Since the days are getting shorter, and we have many more experienced target pullers, we will employ a <span style="font-weight: bold">three-relay system</span> (exactly like Oak Ridge) instead of the usual four. This means you will be pulling targets by yourself in the pits and that you will not be paired up with the same person the entire day on the firing line. Please plan accordingly. If you are physically impaired and need to bring along a non-shooter to pull targets for you, please do so. If you carpool with someone and don't end up in the same relay, rest assured that one of your fellow shooters will give you a ride to and from the pits. This (along with #3) should shave off about 2 hours from the duration of the overall match day.
3. We will employ the same pace and brief changeover timing that was used at the state championship earlier this month. There was not a single time over the course of two days that someone was not able to get their 20 records shots off in the allotted time, so we should be OK.
4. Due to a pending changeover in club responsibilities, we can no longer accept checks made out to WCRC for the long-range matches (mid-range is B&G anyway). Please pay via cash or NRA points. The fee for each of the remaining matches is $20.
I can't attach .pdf files so please send me an a-mail if you would like the schedule and match program. Note that 10/6 will be the first and only mid-range match we are able to pull of this year (I hope I didn't just jinx it). This mid-range match provides a fun and different challenge than the 1000-yard matches so please try to attend and make a weekend out of it.
