Rifle Scopes Remarking my turrets -- need an MOA --> MIL check

I'm going to tape over the turrets on my Bushnell 4200 scopes (6-24x50) and mark them in mils. They are 1/4 MOA turrets marked 0 to 12.

Can someone verify my math? Going from MOA to inch I multiply by 1.0472. Going from inch to mils I am dividing by 3.6.

I'm basically going to mark one mil increments every 3.5 MOA with intermediate hash marks added in afterwards.

Thanks!

Here's a quick picture of the first attempt. Turned out pretty well but I need to use a crisper font and include 1/10th mil hash marks.

Not too shabby. Basically, each former 1/4 MOA click is just over 0.07 mil.

Awesome work! I've been thinking about this for a while but haven't thought of a reliable method of getting the numbers accurately on the paper or label. How did you do that part? What program are you using? Is it a self-adhesive label?

Good job!

Basically, I used Powerpoint to create the hash style I wanted then resized the graphic to fit the turret diameter (3.4" in my case). I then printed it on a FedEx label sheet and trimmed it to size with an exacto knife. Here's a pic of the final effort last night.

I ordered a Viper PST FFP 6-24x50 and also a Bushnell FFP 6-24x50. It'll be interesting to compare the two side by side.

I now have to do the windage turret.

You mean paper printer?

How did you determine the distance between marks so they will match the appropriate hash marks on the scope to establish the necessary "up" per click?
