Remember when PTOUS said if we could find a way to inject disinfectant or UV light and was ridiculed

What if light therapy could stop the spread of the coronavirus by eliminating the viral load in your nose? One Canadian company with offices in Chicago says it has the technology to make that happen.
“This is a very simple intervention. It takes a couple minutes. It’s inexpensive. It’s portable,” said Dr. Nicolas Loebel, Chief Technology Officer at Ondine Biomedical, the company that developed the Steriwave Nasal Decolonization Technology. “In our case, we don’t see any adverse effects, (or) any significant adverse effects, over a decade in 60,000 patients.”
“We know it works against this particular virus. And so now the real question is, when we remove a virus from the areas we can access, what’s the outcome? Can we buy patients time? Can we buy healthcare workers time?” Dr. Loebel said.
Studies have shown the coronavirus tends to colonize in the nose, so the process involves swabbing the nose with a blue-colored chemical compound. Then a technician inserts fiber optic probes into the nose and turns on a red light, the kind of light found at the safe end of the spectrum.
“When you shine that light in the presence of the photo sensitizer that’s on the virus, It basically blows the virus up. It destroys it immediately,” said Dr. Merrill Biel, an otolaryngologist and professor at the University of Minnesota.
So wait, let me get this straight: doctors inject a person with disinfectant and ultraviolet light and that kills the coronavirus? Just like President Trump was talking about?

Where are the apologies from democrats and the liberal media? We probably shouldn’t hold our breaths on this one, because this is a false narrative that they love.

I don't do anything until I hear what Greta Thunberg has to say.

Omg! Trump is an ignorant moron and there seems to be no limit as to what manouvers people will take to deny that fact. He says so much stupid shit it is unprecedented.

The study has nothing to do with injecting disinfectants at all...
You put a substance in the infected nasal cavity insert a UV light source and disinfect the nasal cavity.

    Definition of disinfectant

: an agent that frees from infection especially : a chemical that destroys vegetative forms of harmful microorganisms (such as bacteria and fungi) especially on inanimate objects but that may be less effective in destroying spores

Examples of disinfectant in a Sentence

There are two sides to the coin here. Trump steps into piles of dog shit and tracks them across the carpet of the White House press room quite regularly. He is not a scientist but seems to have a need to appear competent in quite literally everything.

The other side is that light, or more specifically UV light, has been used and studied as a disinfectant for a long time. Of course Trump mangled it. And of course the press corps has no ability or will to do anything other than cast Trump in the worst possible light. For a group of people whose careers seem to hinge on the use of words they are not aware of the phrase, sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants. The CDC uses the term "disinfectant" in describing the effect of UV light on bacteria and viruses. Whether or not there is a way for it to work for the purpose at hand seems, to me, to be in doubt. But then again this is not what I do for a living.

If Obama had used the same words as Trump the press corps would have hailed him as being a serious student of the topic and perhaps deserving of another Nobel.

The History of Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation for Air Disinfection

    Ultraviolet Radiation (UV)
The wavelength of UV radiation ranges from 328 nm to 210 nm (3280 A to 2100 A). Its maximum bactericidal effect occurs at 240–280 nm. Mercury vapor lamps emit more than 90% of their radiation at 253.7 nm, which is near the maximum microbicidal activity 775. Inactivation of microorganisms results from destruction of nucleic acid through induction of thymine dimers. UV radiation has been employed in the disinfection of drinking water 776, air 775, titanium implants 777, and contact lenses778. Bacteria and viruses are more easily killed by UV light than are bacterial spores 775. UV radiation has several potential applications, but unfortunately its germicidal effectiveness and use is influenced by organic matter; wavelength; type of suspension; temperature; type of microorganism; and UV intensity, which is affected by distance and dirty tubes779. The application of UV radiation in the health-care environment (i.e., operating rooms, isolation rooms, and biologic safety cabinets) is limited to destruction of airborne organisms or inactivation of microorganisms on surfaces. The effect of UV radiation on postoperative wound infections was investigated in a double-blind, randomized study in five university medical centers. After following 14,854 patients over a 2-year period, the investigators reported the overall wound infection rate was unaffected by UV radiation, although postoperative infection in the “refined clean” surgical procedures decreased significantly (3.8%–2.9%) 780. No data support the use of UV lamps in isolation rooms, and this practice has caused at least one epidemic of UV-induced skin erythema and keratoconjunctivitis in hospital patients and visitors 781.

    In before supercorndog...

How cute. I have a fan club that can't keep my name out of their mouth. What exactly are getting "in before supercordog"?

Maybe this is good. They can put those red lights on Bill Gates nano bots, before they inject them in you. It will make it almost like your body has some sort of system to fight sickness. Maybe it will even cure pigeon VD.

Why is nobody shooting this down because it came from the MSN? NBC Chicago even, gross.

The statements made by President Trump were cringeworthy at best. They were specific enough to guess he was talking about something he had been told, but didn't understand. Its kind off like reading about COVID-19 in the Bear Pit.

Trump disowned his own comments as being "sarcastic" the day after he stepped on his dick. So that makes it kinda hard to credit him with being some sort of prescient medical genius.

Most of us have worked for a boss that overheard something that he didn't understand and then tried to pass it off as his own idea, mangling it in the process. Pretty sure that's what we saw during this particular press conference.

With regards to using chemical or radiological disinfection inside the body - yeah, sure, go for it. I'll watch this one from the sidelines.
