Lone Survivor Foundation was founded in 2010 by retired Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell to honor the memory of his brothers in arms while providing real help to service members who are living with the invisible wounds of combat. All of us here at LSF are aware that this is a great responsibility, and we work hard every day to do right by the men and women who serve our country.

To learn more about Operation Red Wings, visit www.marcusluttrell.com or purchase a copy of the Lone Survivor book.

Didn't Lutrell say this whole story was made up? Something about him being rescued with all of his ammo and gear.

After the SEALS left USAF Tsgt Chapman to die alone when they abandoned him on a mountain in Afghanistan and he fought to the death, I'm going to have to refrain from celebrating these heroes.

Yup. He didn't even know about the book written in his name until someone told him about it while he was on deployment. Almost nothing about the story is true. There was only something like 8-10 enemy combatants there, Marcus booked it at the beginning. As far as I know the actual video is still up on youtube.

Nobody who ever worked in a small unit would have done what they did. Rule number one of small unit tactics is that you do not allow yourself to be seen and then stay where you are. There is an established protocol for handling civilians when you are operating in a small unit, and according to their story, they violated one of the most important tenants.

It didn't happen. I could write a very long explanation for how, why and what actually happened, but I have better things to do.

The reason no bodies or gear were recovered was because nobody died. Michael Murphy tried to recruit a friend of mine into the CIA in Germany in an airport 6 months after this happened.

Well that’s good news!

Good video isn't it?

Crazy how good it is. Like almost too good right? I knew people who were on the recovery effort, like 6 of them. I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything.

So after they didn't die in Afghanistan, did they join the space program and do a few moon landings? Is this how they get space shuttle door gunners? Asking for a friend.

No dude, they've been living on a tropical island with Biggie and Tupac. Tupac has been working with the DOJ to put Diddy away, that's why they didn't televise the trial. It'll all come out in two weeks.

Also, fuck Luttrell. He never even made it through BUDs: he had to switch out with his twin brother when it got too hard. Based on what we know now, it was a poorly planned and then poorly executed mission. Luttrell tucked tail and ran when the shooting started - you can hear his teammates screaming for him to help in the Taliban's video. The QRF did nothing wrong, they just got sent into a shit situation. There were multiple careers that were going to end, so they invented a hero story to protect themselves and the SEAL brand. Some of the same players were involved in the Chapman coverup. Instead of being pissed about being lied to, people are pissed at the people coming forward. And then people wonder where the rot comes from...

Was the drone video made available to the public?

Couldn’t find it anywhere.
Not drone video and no. Videos of the enemy stripping gear off our dead SOF guys is typically not released to the public.

Edit:
Here you go as far as “public”. There’s more tapes and longer footage that was recovered later.
