I need some small parts for my Remington 40X HB .22lr rimfire target rifle:
- bolt stop
- bolt stop pin
- bolt stop spring
- bolt stop release

Are the corresponding Remington 700 parts interchangeable with those of the Remington 40X?

If so, then do any of you have any spare parts to sell or trade?

Re: Remington 40X bolt stop, pin, spring, release

yes and no. The factory trigger uses the same pin, and release.
The older factory 722 set up uses a different spring. The RF bolt stop is nothing like a center fire bolt stop but is the same for either 722 or 700 style 40X 22lr rifles. Remington has the parts you need. Several people have bought the barreled actions the CMP sold this year and got the parts from Remington. There was a thread on RimFireCentral that had the part numbers listed a few months back so you may want to do a search over there or just ask. Most of the RFC guys are not search Nazi's and will be helpfull.

Thanks, Donald. I have the factory trigger in mine, so I will search the RimfireCentral forums to see exactly which parts I need to order from Remington...
