Remington 5R options

I have a chance to pick up a 300Win Mag 5R.

Both are new and the same price.

Now would you buy the 24" threaded barrel or the 26" none threaded barrel.

Also I do plan on a muzzle break and maybe (MAYBE) a supressor.

Which gun is more rare?

if you plan on a brake the threaded is worth about 75$ and possibly some time/hassle. That is as long as you do not need the brake contoured to the barrel for a seamless look, if you want the brake turned down to match the barrel it will be about the same time/cost if the barrel is threaded or not

Neither are rare they are both common models. I would go 24 threaded more things to do with it and less money than threading the 26.

If you plan on a muzzle break and/or can, just get the 24" threaded. It will save time and hassle. It should be an easy decision.

the rifling, 5r has 5 lands and grooves in the barrel

24" without a doubt if you are planning to attach anything to the end.
