I have a Remington 700 xhr in the 7 mm rum. I bought a hornady gauge to measure the chamber to the bullet ogive. I get measurement in the 3.433,3.434,3.436. Any way they are fairly close. Problem is I can't load the bullet because it will fallmout of the case. I using berger 7mm vld 168 grain bullets. Is there a reason why the chamber is that long? Anyone else have this problem? Any one have any ideas on seating this bullet. Any help thanks.
