I have a donor rifle, just so happens to be a 223 rifle. I got a WSM bolt. I will be good to go if I machine out the rails inside receiver? I will be running AICS mags.

Strictly a guess but it should be GTG. If a cartridge will fit through the feed rails and not hang on the ramp, AICS mags would negate the need to machine the rails.
