Remington 700 308 Varmint Weird Serial Numbers?

I just bought 2 new Remington 308ADL varmint bull barrel rifles. One has a weird ss# starting with RR8487*A and the other is a G716170* serial number.I called Rem they said they were the same and didn't know why it was diff,But the RR was a newer gun in 2012 I figured that's all I would get out of Rem anyway.

My other 2 Rem 700's start with a G also,one is 2010 308 G69942** AND THE 2011 .223 Is G697

Does anybody know if or what might be the difference?

No idea, but very nice MANCAVE! Crank shaft, guns, and some nice posters.

It's just a serial number nothing else is different. I just got a couple actions in from Brownells that started in RR nice little surprise if your building Raven Rifles

I have a AAC SD that the serial # begins in G also not sure why. I agree on the nice man cave, but I missed the crankshaft the first time due to the poster

Thanks!!! Now the cave has gotten crowded

The gun bench is starting to turn into boat engine parts bench.lol

I figured up on my Dicks 308 I have $283.00 in it after rebates and discounts,I figure I can sell the scope and stock for 25.00 each?
