Does anyone have the correct combination of AAC shims for the Breakout install on the Remington 700 AAC barrel? Are they bloody unique or is there a standardized formula?

I just don't have the time to meddle about with shims all night. I have to work to pay the bloody bills.

Thanks,

No two threads are exaxtly the same so you're going to have to mess with it. If you can't do it a smith would be more than happy to time it for you at a cost of about $100 plus return shipping.

I have time, just not last night. However this weekend I'm trying to use a bit of the ol' Texas deer season.

I didn't like the way multi stacked shims looked. There seemed to be too much space. Concerning me insomuch as to delay install.

There shouldn't be a need to smith it, except for the torque wrench. I don't have the type that is required. I've got one of the yellow Wheeler wrenches.

I shouldn't let impatience win this battle. I can always put the AAC flash hider back on. I just don't care for the muzzle climb on a bolt gun.

As a rule of thumb, what degree of the brake tightened by hand is acceptable before putting a wrench to it?

Looks like without any shims I'm about at the 2'oclock position.
