Ok I dont want to spend more then $400 shipped. So Im looking at HS Pro-series 2000 Sendero Varmint A1 tactical or B&C Tactical medalist style 2. My first bolt rifle so not sure if this will make a difference but I will be using it to hunt and some long range shooting at the club. Also, will have a AAC 762-SD attached. Thanks

I like the look of the B&C Light Tactical for all around use. The only problem with the A-2 is it has the wide forend. The B&C are great stocks for the money. No experience with the HS

I agree that the B&C A2 is a little wide and heavy for a combo hunting. I have the B&C M40 and its lighter than the A2 , but still a little on the heavy side for a hunter. If you really intend to hump your rifle around a bit, then look at an HS precision LTR take off. They can be had here on the hide for a reasonable price, just have to jump on one quickly.

Here is a good thread to get an idea what the 20" heavy bbl looks like in various stocks http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1328276&page=1
