I've found a brand new AAC-SD for an exceptional good price. So good, it's almost hard to believe it's true. On top of that, they payment method is paypal. Now I don't really care that it's against their policy to use their service for a firearm transaction but if this is a bogus sale, I have no ground to stand on to get my money back. I've requested more pictures to verify the gun is actually new but how would you go about verifying this is legit sale? (it's a good enouth price I wouldnt care if it was used) It looks like this seller has good feed back when they are buying but very limited selling experience. What's your take on it?

1.If you dont feel good about it, dont do it.

2.If it looks to good to be true, it probably is.

Is it really worth trying to save a couple bucks. Trust your gut.

This is why I always buy from reputable dealers.

It sounds like a private party sale. A USPS Money Order will offer no more protection than using PayPal, check, cashier's check, or cash. If the deal is a bust, it's up to the seller on if he will refund you. He could hold onto the money order until everything is square, then return it to you after you send back the rifle. Or he could cash the money order, then send a new money order back to you after you return the rifle. Or he could not refund you period.

In general, I would be more concerned about him sending the rifle at all than being able to get a refund if it is not as described. You could send a money order or PayPal payment and not hear back from him at all. Either way, there are no guarantees.

If you are not using the PayPal "Gift" method of paying and charging it on a credit card, you could use the credit card company as an extra layer of protection.

If the seller is a business, then he holds an FFL. you can ask for the first three and last five numbers of his FFL and check their status on the FFL easy check page for the ATF. I doubt that if he is legit, that you would get ripped off. BTW, that rifle comes that way from Remington. I guess it's Remingtons way of cutting out the little guy, and get some of the market share on muzzle brake/suppressor installs. Good luck on your deal.
