Will a barrel that is pre-thread from a short action fit a long action? It will be installed by someone that know what they are doing so no worries there.

They have the same thread pitch, should be very close, but will need to make sure the headspacing is good. But yes, it wouldn't be too much work to make it fit by someone who knows what they are doing.
