I have a Remington 700 BDL action originally chambered in .270. This will be my first blueprinting and barrel job. I will also be building a custom chassis for it to sit in. My primary objective is to build a sub moa rifle for shooting out to a mile. I was thinking about going. 338 edge but that is not set in stone. Any suggestion for caliber? I know I will have to open up the bolt face. I have just about finished the solid works models for the chassis, bipod, and monopod, but it is getting to the point where I need to choose a barrel and contour. I would appreciate any input and suggestions for my first ground up build.
Thanks

Velocity is about the same but the Norma should be more accurate. Shorter powder column. Norma is more efficient. The 338 Norma and 300 Norma is just a shortened 338 Lapua. Case for Lapua is about 2.72 and Norma is 2.5.
