Oh, it can be done but it'd be throwing a lot of good money after bad. Cocking cam, ejector, extractor, bolt handle and anti bind groove, if needed. Am I forgetting anything?

That's unfortunate.... When I worked in the heavy industrial maintenance world..... We would go to the refineries and work a "Turn Around".... Got it's name from equipment parts that could be removed, cleaned, inspected and turn around to wear out the opposite side.

These young engineers were taught to build a left and right... Oh well.

I just looked at a few pics of a left hand r700 and it looks like it’s possible to cut a notch on the left side of the action for a left hand bolt to close. I don’t know if the race ways and integral lugs are different and/or can be modified to work. They’ll also need a left hand bolt. It’ll cost way more than it’s worth like the other guy said

Didn't say it couldn't be done, but the only reason someone would do it was if the goal was to be impractical. It would be less ridiculous to buy a complete right hand action/bolt, remove the bolt, then throw the receiver in the garbage. At least OP would be money ahead vs a conversion.
