Learn to shoot what you got. A novice shooter will learn a lot from a stock rifle with a decent heavy barrel. If it shoots 1 moa with decent ammo, no reason to swap it out unless "you just gotta have it". Most rifle will outshoot a new shooter for 6-8000 rounds. Most, not all...

    +1

This is why I said 6-8000 rounds before starting to drop the big bucks on custom barrel, truing and the like. I just think if he spends his cash on ammo and practice for 6-8000 rounds (or until the factory barrel is no good) he will be light years ahead.

I think if his factory barrel is 1 moa or better (which it probably is), I would burn that barrel up before putting the new one on.

    joemusso,

Did you mount the rail on the back of that stock for the monopod or does the b&c come that way? If you did, what rail is that? I was looking at maguls but I did not commit yet. Yours looks very clean.

    Re: remington 700 build

Bellycrawl the stock did not come that way i did it my self.
    i used a MOE rail L2 5 slot (MAG406-BLK)

if anyone want to pm me i can email you pictures of what i did.

    thank you
