on the old 700's they are put in with a rivet. On the newer one's they just snap in.

If it's a snap in you just pry it out with a small pic or screwdriver. You will bend it up getting it out. Before you do that you better have a new one on hand. Once out they are not meant to go back it. When you pry it out you will see why.
Rivet style you will need to drill the very small rivet out first. Once this is done the extractor will fall out pretty much on its own.
