When the bolt is slid forward and pushed down the firing pin releases. Is the trigger pull set to low or is there something not assembled right?

yep, could be a couple things though. The sear engagement is to little, your cocking piece is fubared. Im guessing if the trigger has been messed with its the sear engagement

trigger needs to be adjusted by someone who knows what they are doing.
either your trigger pull weight screw is out too far and the trigger is not reseting properly, or there isnt enough sear engadgment, or both.

Got it fixed, sear engagement. New finger nail polish keep it from moving. Thanks again fellows.
