Remington 700 magazine size?

I have the Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .308. What do I need to get to allow 5 rounds in the magazine instead of 4?

Do you have a milled or stamped mag follower?

I would assume stamped as it appears to be aluminum.

There are two tabs on the bottom of it about 3/4 way back-take a pair of pliers and brake them off.

I removed the two tabs and still I can only get 4 rounds in the internal magazine. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

All new models have the milled follower. I'm guessing you have that one, not the stamped.
I'm not sure you can fit a 5th in the new ones.

I know it will work. Just bare with me-if it is all h-s precision stock and factory bottom metal there is no reason it won't hold em. I'm going to P.M. you.
