Gunsmithing Remington 700 safety removal

Is there any trick to removing the safety and bolt release from a Remington 700 trigger? I dont want to break anything.

Before anyone makes a comment about not removing the safety. It is to be used on a non-remington action that does not allow the use of the safety or bolt release.

Which trigger do you have. The mark x series or the older original type.
New type forget it.
Older type remove the c type washer by pushing it away from the pin its on. push pin out all parts will pull away.
Save parts, pin ,the pressure washer underneath it ,the small ball bearing, and the safety lever.
Thats it no tricks just common sense.

thanks, my trigger is the new type. I didnt see anything like c clips that could be removed.

You can't fix those. Get an older trigger.
