I have seen these mentioned here when I do a search, but I can't seem to find any reviews of them. Did anyone end up buying these? How did they work out? There is also a 700P action for sale, prices seem good. Haven't bought a Remington in over 20 years probably. Just looking for some feedback.

Although, you guys have me looking hard at Tikka.

Thanks

i noticed that a complete rifle cost about $40 more at $540.90...

not sure why that might help but i was curious what a Remington 700 SPS was

My 308 is a 26" barreled action from a SPS rifle. I've replaced everything except the action and barrel, it shoots well with handloads (.6-.7 MOA). It's slightly above MOA with FGMM ammo.

Glad I bought my 6.5 BA from Eurooptic when I did, they are $699 now, $200 more than what I paid. No real review yet, as I am still assembling components as I have the funds to do so. Before I get too far along I will probably have the action trued, and the bolt lugs lapped and seated. I have a KRG Bravo on order, as well as a Tmney 510. Otherwise the project is a slow-go.

Might as well just buy an action because you're going to have to do work to those factory cheapo 700s so they don't feel like sandpaper... at least in in my experience.
