Building my first longish range rifle, Remington 700 with bell and Carlson light tactical medalist stock with a Harris bipod.

Now my question is when attaching a bipod, which of the 2 front studs do you use? Will one allow better free floating for the other? I will not be attaching a sling. Thanks guys!

Thanks for the reply's, on google images I see a bunch on both studs so I figured I would ask ask the experts!

I thought maybe with my heavy 26 inch varmint barrel if I use the front stud it might cause a pressure point from all the barrel weight and allow the stock to touch the barrel. Or once I mount the scope that might cause a pressure point and make contact if I use the rear stud. the scope nor stock has arrived yet so I cant test it yet. Thanks again guys.

Anymore input is much appreciated!
