I can see about spacers or would you replace the stock and what is light enough to keep the gun at its current weight or not add more than a couple ounces.

The old one has to be cutoff, and spacers or a longer pad fitted. Or you could do this: Galco slip on Pad It keeps your rifle stock, so when and if you part with it, you have no loss of value. You can use it on other rifles.....
