Are the Pre 2000 Remington 700's going up in value!?
I've been looking at prices for some early BDL varmints and they want 1300+!

Are the early 700's going up!?

It seems like the earlier VSSFs will bring a higher price.

The early VS may if it has had very little use.

And some like the looks of the VLS laminated wood stocks of that period.

If I were buying a Rem 700 it would be one of these older ones, but it's a personal preference.

Just because a rifle was built back then does not guarantee that it is a good shooter -- one of the more aggravating experiences I've ever had was with a Rem 700 VSL built in the late '90s.

Don't about values, but,I have late 90's Rem 700 bdl VLS in 7-08 that is so accurate it's scary. On a good day(me not it) it can shoot a .30-.35 cal 3 shot group.I don't like to shoot enough to heat the bbl./chamber very much. Other than cleaning,it hasn't been touched. My friends can tell you "IT AIN'T FOR SALE AT ANY PRICE!" My younger daughter gets it when I'm gone, keep threatening to take it w/me. I've often wondered with a top of the line ,balls out ,accuracy job just how good could it be??? Paul
