Remington 700 VTR 308 win, What do you think?

Hi, I was thinking of possibly getting a Remington 700 VTR in 308 WIN for target shooting and deer hunting, Do any of you guys have one or shot one and what is your opinion of them? I found a new for for $400 after the mail in rebate. Which seems like a pretty good deal to me, what do you guys think?

A friend of mine has one and it shoots pretty good, no problem for him to get half inch groups at 100 with handloads.

Buy it, my little brother has one, his is a desert camo and looks wild, Ive shot it, shoots like a heavy barrel 700, and for that kind of money you cant go wrong...
