So I went out to the range this weekend with my 700 only to drop my rifle. Believe it or no the bolt handle broke. I am going to order a new one from Midway Usa but was wondering how you put it on?

It needs to be either silver soldered or TIG welded. Some reinforce them with screws through the bolt handle into the bolt body, as well.

+1, the screw trick usually works best before it breaks off.....

Extracting a stuck case in a Mauser, I can stand of the bolt handle, holding the rifle like a pogo stick and kick downward, accelerating my body upward, like the effort of kick starting a big motorcycle.
Extracting a stuck case from a Rem700, I can tap the bolt handle with a Wiffle bat.

I would send it to Dans40X at Accu-Tig. I have had Dan do multiple bolts for myself and other customers and he has great turn around, a good price and he knows his stuff.
Just my opinion.

What about just buying a new bolt shroud with a handle on it. Can i get one with a tacticool bolt knob?
