I had planned on giving my Remington Sendero 300 rum and AR30 338 Lapua to a smith for trigger jobs, but after reading some more and seeing how easy it looks I am going to attempt them myself. The Sendero really needs it with a 6 3/4 lb pull. Does anyone know what trigger is in this gun? Looks like a standard Remington trigger. The AR30 trigger feels much better and breaks at 3 1/2 lb, so it isn't near as important. It looks just like the Remington trigger except it has lock nuts on the screws. Anyone know what trigger this is? Anyway I am going to do the Sendero first and if it goes as easy as it looks I will do the AR30. I am trying for the 2 1/2 pound mark on each. These are the directions I am following. http://www.snipercountry.com/Articles/Remingtontriggers.asp
Any other pointers or do's and don'ts when it comes to trigger adjustments?

Off topic-
Maybe if this goes well it will give me the confidence to bed the Sendero into a Mcmillan A4 myself. I know, completely different tasks, but I am kind of a "do it yourselfer". I just tend to scare myself away from tasks when working with an expensive part. I was thinking maybe I should practice doing it on the original stock first. Do you think this would be worth the material cost just for practice?

yea. I did my trigger last week. simple. as far as bedding goes, I would practice on the old first. if you buy the acraglass bedding material theres enough in there to do 2 guns. so theres no extra cost at all. 29$

Re: Remington and AR30 trigger adjustment?

the Ar 30 uses a shilien trigger that is easy to adjust. I got mine down to 2 lbs but ultimately switch to a Basix and got it to a 1 1/2lbs. very easy to install ( rem 700 trigger without bolt release)
