Im kinda new to reloading and the only brass I have reloaded was the factory ammo brass (black hills,Remington, etc.)
I have just reloaded for my AR-15 (.223) so far and I had just picked up a couple hundred brand new .223 Remington brass.
My question is do I have to run them thru my FL sizer die,chamfer-deburr or do I just start throwing some powder and primers in? It doesnt look like any of the necks are dinged up at all. I know some guys FL new brass nomatter what but this is for an AR. I do shoot for accuracy tho, mostly at 50-600yrds.

if that's the case, just load up and shoot. Most likely, you are going to have to FL resize after each time anyway.

Re: Remington Brass?

I still prep new brass even though it's new. Most of the time case mouths are dinged in shipping and you might as well trim, deburr, and chamfer them while you are at it.

Re: Remington Brass?

Before you skip resizing, try chambering a few virgin cases; just to be certain.

I F/L resize and ream flash holes on GP, after I went to match with newly made ammo that wouldn't quite chamber in my M1A. Not my most enjoyable day at the range.
